My Story
I grew up in an entrepreneurial family. My dad and grandfather were leather tanners in the city. As a teenager, my brother, dad, and I started an Arabian Horse breeding farm in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, that took us all over the world… and as far as Russia, in search of the ideal horse.
This search for beauty has been a constant in my life. I have always had a keen sense of aesthetics – whether for the written word, form, or design. I was that kid in the corner with their head in a book; the one whose teachers recognized had the creative spark and gave special access to. I found my passion for land, architecture, and deal-making early on, trusting in my ability to envision a project.
After attending U.S.C. in Los Angeles, and graduating with a B.S. degree, I moved back to Chicago and became involved in residential real estate, helping a top producing agent launch his brand and working with top architectural design talent.
